VEZILKA to Be Presented at Seminar Hosted by IIAP NAS RA
On June 26, 2026, Prof. Anastas Mishev will deliver a seminar at the Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, titled “VEZILKA – The North Macedonia AI Factory Antenna as a Key Enabler in the Innovation Ecosystem.”
The seminar will present VEZILKA as North Macedonia’s AI Factory Antenna and highlight its role in strengthening the national innovation ecosystem by connecting key European and national digital infrastructure initiatives, including the European Digital Innovation Hub, the AI Factory Antenna, and the National Competence Centre.
Through VEZILKA, researchers, companies, startups, public institutions, and young talent in North Macedonia gain access to European computing resources, expertise, mentorship, and support for the development of AI-based solutions with societal and economic impact.
The presentation will also explore opportunities for collaboration with IIAP in several strategic domains, including natural language technologies, sustainability, healthcare, agriculture, and public administration.
Prof. Anastas Mishev is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. With experience in more than 40 international projects, he has played an important role in the development of digital and research infrastructures across Southeast Europe. He serves on the Governance Board of the EOSC Association and the Governing Board of the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, contributing actively to Open Science, European research infrastructures, and AI-driven digital innovation.
The seminar represents an important opportunity to strengthen international collaboration and further position VEZILKA within the European AI, HPC, and Open Science ecosystem.
