{"id":61,"date":"2026-05-05T10:23:15","date_gmt":"2026-05-05T10:23:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vezilka.ai\/?p=61"},"modified":"2026-06-04T07:30:03","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T07:30:03","slug":"news-mklan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vezilka.ai\/mk\/news-mklan\/","title":{"rendered":"VEZILKA coorganizes Macedonian Language Day workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On <strong>May 5th \u2014 the Day of the Macedonian Language<\/strong> \u2014 at the <strong>Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering<\/strong> we coorganized a <strong>workshop<\/strong> dedicated to the <strong>future of the Macedonian language in the era of AI and digital transformation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The event brought together representatives from the <strong>Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts<\/strong>, the <strong>Ministry of Digital Transformation<\/strong>, <strong>professors<\/strong>, <strong>Macedonian language scholars<\/strong>, <strong>linguists<\/strong>, <strong>researchers<\/strong> and <strong>students<\/strong> \u2014 creating space for a meaningful interdisciplinary discussion on the role of the Macedonian language in modern AI technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Through a shared discussion, we explored the key challenges and opportunities: the <strong>digitalization<\/strong> <strong>of the Macedonian language<\/strong>, its <strong>representation in language models<\/strong> and the need for <strong>close collaboration between the technical and social sciences<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop was opened with an address by <strong>Prof. Dr. Petre Lameski<\/strong>, Dean of FCSE.<\/p>\n<p>This was followed by inspiring talks from:<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udd39 <strong>Prof. Dr. Simona Gruevska-Madzoska<\/strong> \u2014 on the Macedonian language and emerging technologies<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udd39 <strong>Prof. Dr. Dimitar Trajanov<\/strong> \u2014 on the VEZILKA project and the development of LLMs for the Macedonian language<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udd39 <strong>Assist.
