From Learning AI to Building It: VEZILKA Creates New Opportunities for Students

VEZILKA is creating new opportunities for students at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FCSE) to work directly on the development of AI systems, combining their academic knowledge with practical experience in building and applying AI technologies. 

A key part of this effort is access to modern computing infrastructure worth approximately €1 million, which will enable students to work with advanced AI technologies, experiment with new approaches and further develop their practical skills. By gaining hands-on experience during their studies, students will be better prepared to develop AI solutions, contribute to new products and apply their expertise within Macedonian companies and organisations. 

VEZILKA will also open further opportunities for students to expand this experience through international cooperation and knowledge exchange, including connections with European universities and research centres. This combination of advanced infrastructure, practical work and international exposure will allow students to strengthen their AI expertise while continuing to develop and apply that knowledge in North Macedonia. 

Building on these opportunities, students are moving beyond simply using existing AI tools — they are gaining the experience needed to develop new AI systems and become architects of tomorrow’s technological reality.
