VEZILKA at 10th Anniversary Forum of Advanced Technologies

On 16 September 2026, VEZILKA took part in the 10th Forum of Advanced Technologies (FNT 10) at the Science and Technology Park Niš, an event focused on artificial intelligence, digital transformation and the future of intelligent industry. As part of the Main Stage programme, Prof. Igor Mishkovski, PhD, from the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FCSE), UKIM, represented VEZILKA in the panel “AI Factories and EDIHs: Reducing the Risk of Innovation.”

The discussion highlighted VEZILKA’s role as the Macedonian AI Factory Antenna and how it can help connect companies, researchers and institutions in North Macedonia with the wider European AI ecosystem. Through this connection, VEZILKA can support organisations that want to explore AI by helping them move from an initial idea or local support towards access to specialised expertise, advanced infrastructure and computing resources available through the European network of AI Factories and EDIHs.

A key point was the need to make this pathway clearer and easier to use, especially for SMEs and organisations in the Western Balkans. By acting as a national point of connection, VEZILKA can help reduce the cost and uncertainty of experimenting with AI and make it easier for local organisations to test ideas, develop solutions and move towards practical implementation.
